If Life Had its Own Background Music
How cool would that be? Its something my uncle came up with and I thought it was a funny idea.
What if life had its own background music? Like those you get at a horror movie when a killing is about to take place? Or the sad, emo music when someone is feeling sad? Or the calming music when nothing much is really going on? If we had a background music to everything we did in life, wouldn't that be something? Mind you, if everyone had background music, then the world could be at peace :) Think about it, they'll be no more murders or people with evil intentions as other people will know when they are coming or when they are about to kill. We will also know which people are hiding their true feelings and which are not :)
But if everyone had their own background music, then the world would be a noisy place indeed :) Somehow I don't find that very pleasant as I like my peace and quiet.

I Miss Studying
The fact that I'm on holiday means that first semester of uni is over, exams are over, and no more studying til next semester...
Somehow I feel rather empty, like a part of me is missing... I just don't feel right... Not studying at all... Just doesn't feel right

I really think people should start laughing aloud a bit more often... It's nothing to be embarrassed about... I reckon its good for your health and besides, I've got a theory that it will somehow make ur brain grow too... But I'm glad I've found my real laugh again after one year... I've missed it so much, and honestly, I don't care if people from all over the restaurant looks at my table just because i burst out laughing... Share the laugh around yeah? Everyone loves a good laugh at an appropriate time :)

I Reckon Star Wars is Based on Newton's Law of Gravitation
Right, if you don't know what Newton's Law of Gravitation is, all I can say is that I'm hugely disappointed... Go and wiki it and maybe tell me if you agree.
Due to the huge absence to my blog, (Sorry), I'm hoping to make this a really long post, depends on how long it takes before I start getting bored of this and decide to reply some long overdue replies...
Exams, exams, exams almost every other week and the finals are coming up in 2 weeks... *screams*... Not that I'm too stressed about it, i just worry about it... Wooboy...
Winter is here, the wind is sharp, weather is cold, and the fields are not ideal to play football on... Too bumpy... Fortunately, we still beat St. Mags 3-2... Yaya!!!
Table tennis and pool tournaments were held down at Studholme college against St Mag's and Salmond... And I'm proud to say that the victors were Studholme college!!! We had a clean sweep on the ping pong table and won all but one on pool... Go Studholme!!!
Holidays are coming up and I'm so looking forward to going back to Chrisychurch to catch up with some friends and family... Though I'll miss Studholme for 2 weeks, I think going back would be better than staying here alone.
Holiday plans: Get a blood test, Do a first aid course... Its a priority for students who want to get into professional health courses.
2nd Semester plans: Continue driving lessons and continue doing what i do best: laugh and enjoy the rest of the year as much as possible.
No, I'm not coming back to Malaysia this year... Sorry for disappointing, I'll try to make up for it... Maybe next year or the year after...
Girlfriend: Still as imaginary as ever...
Availability: Not much time on my hands at the moment... So won't come online that much for the next 3 weeks... Soory...
Well, I think I'm done with my updates... Kinda feels like a commentary... Oh well...

Dedicated to Heidy...
If you don't know much about her... Well, tough luck... Cause you're missing out on knowing one of the coolest girls on Earth...
Currently, she's at a hospital having some treatment being done on her as she is suffering from head damage caused by house cheer practice... Having suffered from high fevers, severe headaches and what nots, I can't imagine how she stands it cause I can't stand even an ongoing cough... Got to admire her strength at going through her day to day life, what with this going on, people bullying her *ahem me*, people talking to her as if she's not worth anything... Not funny, people... We all have feelings... No matter what they say, I'm pretty sure you did your best and that's all that matters... Personally, I've been to 2 of their many practices and I thought they were alright and trying to do their best...
Probably one of the few people who speaks to me on my rare appearance online on MSN... The conversations we had are well worth a good laugh... And though you blatantly say that I keep making you cry, I know you are really laughing in Malaysia... I know you too well for you to fool me, Heidy... You gotta work harder to fool me :)
Our two year challenge to see who can grow our hair the longest is still on and though I'm still a long way off from winning, I'm still gonna be able to win it... Hahaha... Not once have you managed to beat me in anything and I'm gonna try and keep it that way...
Well, out of words here, so I wish you all the best... Don't make too many trips to the hospital and survive till I get back... U still owe me a picture together and you've still got hugs in the hug bank... :)

Never Ever Go Against A Drunk In Sports...
Well, I guess its about time I tried updating my blog before something bad happens to me... Anyway, its our 10 days Easter Break and its now our 5th day into it... Not too bad, the weather's been great, went to the beach, played a bit of cricket and downloaded heaps of anime over the last few days... Been catching up on some work as well, not too fun a holiday but its a sacrifice I must make to do well... Oh well, at least I look forward to my mid year break... That's 2 whole weeks of not having to study for anything...
So, for an account of how I've been spending my Easter break... Here goes:
1st Day, Went to the beach and just chilled out, played cricket and basically had fun for most of the day...
2nd Day, Not much happened... Sat around and downloaded stuff from the internet... Unbeleivably fast at the moment as no one's around to download stuff :)
3rd Day, Easter Sunday... Had a Easter Egg Hunt at my Hall and I managed to find 3 eggs... Not too bad... Could hv done better, was just too slow... Woot...
4th Day, Did not do anything except study :( Tough luck...
5th Day, Went out to the Park to play touch and soccer... Had so much fun... Never thought I could laugh so hard in a game... And a bit of advise, never go against a drunk kiwi in a game of soccer... They seem to become more accurate with their shooting the drunker the get... Hahaha...

Well That Is Sad...
Today was the last lecture from Mr. Blackman... I gotta say that is like the saddest thing ever since I came here... I mean, he was like one of the best chemistry lecturer we have, and perhaps one of the best I'll ever have... He always starts off with music at the beginning of lectures, a little pop quiz at the beginning, a pretty decent joke, then three strips of calvin and hobbes during our break... Oh well, we're gonna miss him, he had a great sense of humour...

Strobe Lights
I think strobe lights are possibly the best inventions ever... First time I came across one was during a rubix cube party, and we had a strobe light... I swear it was one of the coolest inventions I have ever come across... People were like static images moving through time, or like flipping through the pages of comic drawings... But it hurts my eyes just trying to focus in that conditions... One day I'm so gonna take one apart and examine it...
A rubix cube party is a party in which you were one item of each colour... And at the end of the night, you should be in one colour only... So six colours, blue, green, white, yellow, orange and red, and you're meant to exchange articles of clothing until u've reached a uniform colour... It was good fun... But weird... Hahaha... Don't think I might go to any of those again... Much much too weird...
Exams next week, gotta buck up and do some studying... Human Body Systems... Probably one of the best subjects so far and one of the most interesting... Oh well, looking forward to it...

Update from All the Way Down in Dunedin
Hey to all-you-who-read-my-blog,
Well, I'm down in Dunedin right now and will be starting lectures tomorrow. Woohoo!!! I'm so excited... not :( lol... But lectures starting tmr should be pretty neat... Especially since I've been doing nothing all week except for lazing on couches, playing ping-pong and pool *must say I'm getting pretty good at it* and eating my heart out... Anyway, life at Studholme college is spectacular... Must say I really like it here... The environment is great, the people are super friendly and life is good... God has been taking real good care of me and I love him for that...
This year has started out really great... First off, I found a long lost arch enemy*ahem friend* who is Sarah Lim!!! Wooo... Nice to talk to her again and catch up... Though only through emails :) But its all good... Uni has started off nicely, everything is sorting itself out and lectures are about to begin... Oh oh, and I found a girlfriend.................................. Hahahahaha.... Gotcha, nah, i didn't find one... Do I look like the kind of guy that would have a girlfriend? Sheesh...
Anyway, don't expect many updates from me this year *ahem Heidy* as I can't or don't want to get onto the internet often while I'm here... *having too much fun down in the common room* and yeah, might be busy with studies and all that...

To Tabs...
Well, there you are Tabs, you wanted an updated, you got an update... Anyway, you're going off to Wellington real soon and most of us are going down to Otago, while some of us like Chrislynn and Denny and Jonas are staying in Christchurch... Know that all of us will miss u heaps and that we all hope you do well so you can be our lawyer... Hehehehe... I believe I really started getting to know you through online MSN and it just sort of took off from there... All the time we spent laughing about goodness knows what, talking about a certain somebody, and making decisions... Lol... Great fun last week when we were suppose to go ice skating but didn't and ended up playing pool instead... Go Malaysians!!! Hahahaha... Pretty hard to forget those good times... Anyway, your farewell party like thingy was great :) Pretty sure everyone had tons of fun just fooling around, seeing people after they've come back from their holidays like Haysam and Hamish... Seeing some people for the last time... It can become pretty emotional :) But then, memories do last for a while and hopefully they'll last for eternity... So, we wish u all the best and God bless... Lantern Festival
Ok, just an update from what I did a few days back... Went to the Lantern Festival on Sunday with Calvin, his sister, and Kiran down at Victoria Square in town... Went down at 7.30 pm when it was still nice and bright (it's summer here, so long days) and it was absolutely packed with people... It was hard trying to find a parking spot and when we did, it was another 10 minutes walk to the Square... Anyway, it was rather fun wondering around, sniffing the aroma of food as we walked past various food stalls, listening to people karaoking and just winding your way through the many people in the square... There were actually some pretty nice lanterns there, dragon shaped, turtle shaped, ostrich shaped... Practically any animal under the sun has a lantern in their name... Though the setup n idea was great... Overall, it was pretty disappointing... There wasn't really anything that you can do there and yeah, it was quite sad... Hahahaha... Anyway, am still trying to upload some photos from my phone... But my phone refuses to be picked up by my com... So if in fact I manage to upload them, then I'll post them up in this post :)

Finally...
Well, I thought I might 'feel' like updating since I'm already back in NZ...
Its been a crazy day so to speak... It's already midnight here and I've officially spent 24 hours in NZ... It's been fun... Left at 9.40 pm Malaysian time, flew on Airasia to Gold Coast, Australia... An 8 hour flight in which 5 of them were spent sleeping on the plane... Reached Gold Coast 7.45 am Brisbane time and boy, was customs hectic... So many people were trying to retrieve their luggage and adding pain to injury, the bagage claim area was so small...And as there were like heaps of people there, it was hard to manuevre the trolley around the place... Terrible I tell you... Terrible...
So there I was, sitting at Coolangatta airport waiting to check in for my flight to NZ... My flight wasn't until 5.20 pm that day which was almost 10 hours of transit... Thw wifi at the airport was not working so it kinda sucked... Couldn't come online to let anyone know I was alright... Anyway, sat in the airport, bored to death, occasionally listening to music, dozing off, keeping an eye on my luggage and checking out the hot girls.... Wooooo... Hahaha...Nah, just kidding.... But there were lots of surfer dudes and dudettes passing through... Surf city!!! Hahaha... One day I really should learn how to surf... Looks real cool.... Anyway, after 7 hours wait, I got to check in for my flight to Christchurch and after another 3 hours wait, I finally got to board the plane to Christchurch... Was another 3 hours flight... Slept for 2 of it... And finally landed in Christchurch...
Got there and oh God, customs was frustrating... It took ages to get through and when I did... An hour had already past... My uncle picked me up so that was all good...
So yes, that was my flight plan, just sleeping and waiting... Hehehehe... Travelled for almost 24 hours and now I'm safe and sound... So for those who were worried... I'm safe! Hahahaha...

Insanely Crazy...
I figured its about time I updated so here goes...
Well, one week of 2009 is just about gone and what have I been doing? Yeah baby, working... Haha... Currently I'm working at the Golden Screen Cinemas down at One Utama as a waiter, cashier, usher, cleaner all rolled into one guy in the Gold Class section... Been there for almost a week now and here's a recap...
1st January 2009 :
Went to work at 9.30 am... Opened up the Gold Class area, cleaned the theatre and just sat around waiting for customers... Basically my job is pretty simple... When a customer comes, ask for the ticket, ask if they would like to order anything, sit them down in the hall, and once all the customers have arrived, prepare the food and snacks to bring into the hall... Met Hui Ying and her family on my first day so that was pretty awesome... So yeah, the movie that is currently being shown in Gold Class is Australia... A 2 hour 45 minute long movie... And that is ages... I spent most of the time stoning in front of a wall... Hahaha... Went back early because I was going to a BBQ at Kenny's... Pool party kinda thing, everyone pretty much got wet... Haha...
2nd January:
Went to work again... Had close to a full house in Gold Class... 28 people came to watch Australia... I mean honestly, who would pay so much to watch a movie... Definitely not me... Haha... But it was fun, catering to so many people... My trainer made me run back and forth so many times I was sweating by the end of the day... Really badly... Got back, Mum ask if I was going to CUG when I realise that I'd forgotten to arrange transport to church... So my nice dad took me down to church and I found a ride back with David... Thanks a lot...
3rd January:
A Saturday thing... Not much went on that day, pretty much laze around until I went back home... It kinda becomes some kind of routine... Get there, open up, clean the hall, clean the lounge, count the cash, check stock... And then wait for the customers... Not an unusual day... Went back home and relaxed after that...
4th January:
Had a day off work... Went to church, prayed for Jo Tan as she's leaving for Mississippi... Went back home and chilled out...
5th January:
Night shift... Woooo.... My first ever... Went to work at 6pm but didn't really start until half past 8... It was real tiring cause the last movie ended at about 3am and I was just about the last one to leave... Oh yeah, that was the first time I was doing a shift on my own... And I survived that onslaught... Went to bed at 4am, preparing myself for a morning shift the next day...
6th January:
Wooo... Got my cashier ID today, so now I can officially use the cash register... Haha... Previously had to depend on my trainer or the nice assistant manager to log in for me... But now, I've got one for my very own... Was by myself again today as my trainer had the day off... So I thought that was pretty cool... Enjoyed myself thoroughly... Met a few more collegues and yeah, they are a nice bunch of guys... Hahaha... Woo...
So that's how my week has been... It's been great... Though lunches in OU is not cheap, I found the cheapest way to eat (I think)... GO TO THE BAKERIES!!! The bread there is awesome...

Well, I got a haircut on my birthday... What does it feel like? Awfully light headed... I've got an awful headache now... But it is cooling... Hahaha... Well...
Well, I got my first job ever at GSC... Apparently working at the Gold Class section... Yeah, Went for an interview today at like 2pm and it was so embarassing... My dad called my mum's phone halfway through and it was making such a racket... And the worse part was, I didn't know how to switch my mum's phone to silent (It was some touch screen phone thing)... So anyway, it was fortunate that I still got the job... So yeah, will have a training stint on Wednesday from 11am for 4 hours, then will start working on Thursday for RM 3.80 per hour... Not much I know, but its still something... However, one of the criteria was that I had to get my hair cut... Bugger it... So I was thinking, maybe I should get something like this?
Its like really short to what I had in mind but this is what I think would look pretty cool... So I might get something like this... Or if not, Jay Manuel's hairstyle... Wooo... I think he has a pretty awesome hairstyle... Haha... I wouldn't mind something like this...
But to do these requires a jelly like substance known as gel... Haha... Never used it before... So this is going to be interesting... Haha... I apologise to those who would prefer me to have long hair... And I bet some of you are rejoicing... *Ahem**Calvin*... But yeah, work comes first and if I have to cut it... I will...

Fa La La La La La La La La...
Woah, I didn't know there were so many 'La's in the song... Haha... Deck the halls with boughs of holly... Fa la la la la la la la la... Phew... 8 las... Well, Merry Christmas to all who I have not wished... Christmas this year has been pretty interesting... Considering I got pulled in the last minute to work on the computer during the Christmas production... Not to say I'm complaining... Just blast Sam for not being able to make it for the practices... Sigh... Anyway, two days before Christmas I had an inspiration on what I should give away for Christmas... Kinda weird really... I wasn't initially planning on giving anything away... I wanted to skip Christmas and not do anything... But the idea hit me when I was in bed on Tuesday... To make cards using toothpicks to write their names... So after 2 days of hard work... Going out with Gene Harn whom I haven't met to buy the cards (Killing two birds with one stone) on Wednesday... And staying up late till 2am to finish it off ( I don't think Ruth would have been pleased with that)... I got it done!!!
And it sorta look like this...
Woooo... Unfortunately, I gave all but two away before I could take pictures of it... So yeah... Haha... I only took one, but you get the idea... I used wire to make some other names... Names which were too long to make with toothpicks... It wouldn't fit on the card... :P
So anyway, after the Christmas production which went rather well (considering there were a few mistakes in the last practice), but I was quite pleased with the way everything turned out... Everyone did pretty good... Especially Ben Kane and Jeremy... Yeah... And I'll always remember baboons expressing aggressive behaviour... Woo... Hahaha...
After the service, gave away the cards... Got a really nice muffin from HEIDY... Thank you so much... It was really nice... Could I have the recipe for it? Hahaha... It was so good... I want more... More cards.... And yeah... That was it...
In the afternoon, went to my cousin's place for a Christmas lunch... Had like two plates of ham and turkey and chicken and salads and corn.... Hahaha... Then, we had some kind of search for your presents kind of thing... I was at a disadvantage, I had no idea what the layout of the house was... It was like my first time there compared to the others who had been there many times... So I had help... :) Well, I found it, and guess what I got? An electrical shaver!!! Woo... Now I don't have to worry about cutting myself when I shave... Haha...
Well, got back from that... Had a snooze... And boy, did I sleep... Slept for ages... Woke up and Christmas was over... It was now my sister's birthday... So yeah, Happy Birthday Jessica... You're now 14...

CF Christmas Party 08
Woohoo... My sixth blog post this month... I'm four more to double digits... Haha... Well, CF Christmas party took place on the 19th of December at Derrick's place... Firstly, thanks Jaclyn and her mom for taking me there... Otherwise I don't know how on earth I'm gonna get there... Thanks to Derrick as well for letting us use his place for this party... The place was huge... There was like a pool there... Haha... Well, I admit it was great fun just walking into the place... Some people didn't recognize me and for those who did... They wanted a picture the moment I walked past the gate... Haha... Well, it was fun... For the first half an hour we just sat around and fellowshiped... Then we could eat... Haha... the food was great, especially the chocolate cakey fudgey brownie thingy that was nice... Kudos to Daniel and Timothy Sim's maid!!! Haha... Yeah... It was nice... Choi even took it off the table so he could have it for himself... haha... Then, we had Icebreakes... First game, "Honey. Honey I Love You", which basically is a game which involves trying to make the opposite sex change their facial expression... I had a start and I don't even know how I got to start... Apparently Tze Lin's reason is that I was smiling... Who doesn't smile? Sheesh. I ask you... Anyway, I started and within 5 minutes I got Elena Ong to laugh... that's pretty good at my standards... Haha... Others took ages.... So much that I think the plot of the game was lost... Haha... Then we played Guess The Leader... That was fun... It had like a twist to the game... The game was to send out four people (Tian Xi, Johanan, Aaron and I)... And send them in again, one at a time to guess who the leader is (the person who jumps the highest and shouts the loudest)... We were sent back on one at a time to guess the leader and I was the last to get sent back in... Anyway, Tze Lin explain the game to me, to find the leader who is jumping the highest and shouts loudest... Anyway, I was given 3 chances... My first and second guess was wrong... But my third guess was right... I couldn't believe it!!! But here's where the first twist came in, There was no real leader... Whoever I picked the last would be leader... haha... Blast Jaclyn into making me believe... She was like : 'Oh, you're so good at this game, Ethan.' Bleh... Remind me never to trust her again... hahaha... Anyway, the person I picked (Andrea) was sent out and I was chosen to be the new leader because I was sporting... haha.... So Andrea came back in... Guessed wrongly the first 2 times and on the third time... No one jumped except for yours truly... Apparently that was where the second twist came in... To humiliate me... haha... It was so embarrasing... It was a set up I tell you... A set up... Lol... Anyway, let begones be begones... Put the past behind us and one day look behind and laugh at how red my face turned... So anyway, we carolled and we sang 'the police stole my car'... Haha... Good times... I can't believe the turnout of those who are expired as well... Such as Tze Yuen, Aaron, Ben Ji, Geoffrey, Kington, Sarah and so many more... Then we went off to fellowship for the rest of the night... The thing was... It was like the oldies were in one room and the newbies were in another... haha... Separated by the hallway... I believe that is allopatric speciation... Perhaps if we leave it long enough... Perhaps we might evolve? hahaha... At 11.30, I followed Ben Ji back... haha... And that was the end... I might some real cool people that day as well... Mostly afternoon sessioners... People like Cassandra, Hazel, Cherish, Alicia, Daniel, Timothy, etc... Haha... it was great... Good times.. Unfortunately, this may be my last CF Christmas party i'll be attending... So yeah... Memories...

Update
Well, the time has come for me to update my blog once again (mostly because Heidy asked me to)... I just realise that I've never blog post per month never exceeds double digits... Haha... Well, my aim for this month is to reach double digits... Haha... Since I've been back, man I've been busy... I've been back for two weeks and those two weeks were like the most tiring weeks I've been through... So let me give an account of what these two weeks have been like...
Week 1:
Tuesday:
Went to church to 'help' set up PA equipment
Wednesday:
Did nothing... was bored silly...
Thursday:
Went to Grace Chow's place to catch up
Friday:
Went out with ex classmates to nick's and OU...
Saturday:
Went to PC fair at KLCC... Should have seen Tabitha there... But I didn't... We were there at the same time... Haha... It was cool... Got a new anti shock external hard disk drive for my laptop...
Sunday:
Went to church... Had my first practice for the Christmas production...
Monday:
Didn't do anything... (I think)... Might be taking break from going out...
Tuesday:
Went out to play badminton with May Kuan... Then went off to church for another practice of the Christmas production...
Wednesday:
Went to church to help out at the Impact makeover... Then went to Andrea's to overlook the CF Afternoon Session's drama...
Thursday:
Went to the Curve to look for a job (which was a failure)... Then went to Grace park to meet up with more classmates...
Friday:
Went to church again to help again at the Impact makeover... Then went to CF Chritmas party (will blog about that later)...
Saturday:
Went to church AGAIN!!! At 9am onwards to finish off Impact makeover... I must say the room looks nice and brown now... Or as Kerry says, painting according to the Christmas season, yeah we're painting the room the colour of the branches of the christmas tree... Haha... Had AV practice for service the next day... Then, helped out at the music workshop...

Went to church... And had a practice for the Christmas production as well...
Well, I think that week was pretty tiring on my mentality... haha... Oh well, looking forward to this week, don't think I might be doing anything much except Christmas... Weeeee... Oh well...
